Berkeley Art Club

Berkeley Art Club is excited to announce three events for September 2026! As summer turns to fall, the planning-a-future-picnic season comes to a close. Weather is becoming more unpredictable, and some days have rain on the forecast. This means we’ll be returning to evening Drink & Draws at local bars around the City of Berkeley!

For this month’s Drink & Draw, we’ll be at Hoi Polloi Brewing on 9/9 from 6-9pm! Hoi Polloi Brewing brews their own beer locally (in Oakland) and also has a rotating selection of curated wines and ciders. We’ll be meeting on their outside, covered patio. RSVP is recommended to help arrange the space, so please send me a message on Instagram to @berkeleyartclub to let me know you are coming!

On 9/15, we’ll be having our second art business meeting for vendors! The first one got a lot of love, so I’m excited to organize another virtual forum. Due to requests, the topics will be 1. vendor display and 2. selling online. I’d love for people to bring pictures of their current displays for constructive critiques! This virtual meeting will be from 7-8:30 pm on Google Meet.

Figure Drawing this month will take place on 9/23 featuring model Ro (@ro.in.motion on Instagram) at Open Doors studio from 6-9pm. As always, the session fee is sliding scale ($10-30) with a suggested donation of $15 to help cover the fee for hiring the model for the evening. This event is a potluck, so please bring a snack or beverage to share! Art supplies are also not provided so please bring your own. RSVP by sending me a message on Instagram, and priority will be given to millennial and gen z artists. If there’s space, others are more than welcome!

NEXT MONTH

Next month, in addition to our regular events, we also have the Halloween Market! 20+ vendors, multiple bands, poetry, wine, food, and (hopefully) a raffle will all be part of this event to raise funds for the Berkeley Humane Society! RSVP on Partiful HERE.
